Manhattan Beach Youth Art Show Winners Named

The hottest art exhibit in Manhattan Beach on Sunday was at the Neptunian Woman's Club as the club honored more than 200 student artists in
celebration of its 46th Annual Art & Photography Show.
Students, parents, teachers, and community members mingled and enjoyed
refreshments at the clubhouse as they admired works by K-12 students from Manhattan Beach schools.
Established in 1978 by Neptunian Woman's Club member Elizabeth Dorsey, the first “Art
Tea” began as an opportunity to recognize student artists from kindergarten
through 12th grade. Now a longstanding tradition in Manhattan Beach, the art contest aims to showcase up-and-coming artistic talent in the local
community. The contest is unique among many local art contests because it offers cash prizes for the top winners.
This year's judges included Chrisi Karvonides-Dushenko, Jen Hellman, Ken Pagliaro, Krista kelly, Eileen Odal Leaf, and Ute Reckhorn.
