If you've had trouble keeping up with what's opening and closing in downtown Manhattan Beach, you're not alone. With old businesses leaving, new businesses opening, and multiple businesses in transition, the neighborhood looks much different than it did six months ago.

To get the full scope of what's new in downtown Manhattan Beach, MB News reached out to Kelly Stroman, executive director of the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business and Professionals Association. "The turnover in downtown Manhattan Beach is unprecedented right now and we are all talking about it," said Stroman.

Below is a breakdown of changes in downtown (with new merchants in bold):

Metlox Plaza
  • Bacio di Latte, a gelato shop, is now open.
  • Sogna Toscana, slated for the former Lemonade space, received the green light from the Planning Commission to proceed with its buildout, including a small patio area that will face Manhattan Beach Blvd.
  • No tenant has been identified for the former Beehive/Forma pop up space.
