Tickets are now on sale for TEDx Manhattan Beach, an annual event in November that draws hundreds each year and has generated millions of YouTube views. 

TEDx Manhattan Beach is a locally produced TED event, featuring innovative and inspiring speakers, an interactive expo hall, and inspiring displays by community organizations. This nonprofit event, started in 2010, is produced by an all-volunteer organization. 

When will TEDx Manhattan Beach take place? 

TEDx Manhattan Beach will be held on Saturday, November 7 at Mira Costa High School. The event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with an optional add-on for cocktails and dinner with the speakers. 

Ticket prices begin at $64.80 for seniors (65+) and high school and colleges students. Regular tickets are $86.14 from now through October 1, when prices will go up. The "platinum" tickets, which includes cocktails and dinner with the speakers, are $166.17, from now through October 1, when prices will go up. All tickets include breakfast and lunch at the event. 

TEDx Manhattan Beach has earned a reputation for its inspiring and groundbreaking talks that continue to have impact and gain views months and even years after the fact. Two of the most famous TEDx Manhattan Beach talks include the 2012 speech "The Power of Belief - Mindset and Success" by Eduardo Briseno, which has 5.5 million views on YouTube, and the 2014 speech "iPhone Application Developer... and 6th Grader" by Thomas Suarez, with 3.2 million views. 

Other notable talks include the late Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who spoke in 2023 about "Vulnerability is My Superpower; and Malissia Clinton, who spoke in 2016 about "Why I Stayed After My [Manhattan Beach] House Was Firebombed."

Tom Alapaattikoski, an American-Finnish serial entrepreneur, investor, and inventor who has built high-growth technology companies.

Niamh Donnelly, co-founder and chief technology officer of Akara, a Trinity College Dublin spin-out developing AI-powered robotics for healthcare.

Ethan Hong, a high school student who founded Project FoodAngel, an initiative developing autonomous robots to support food distribution for people experiencing homelessness.

Steve Isakowitz, former president and CEO of The Aerospace Corporation, who now advises emerging space companies and helps shape the future of space.

Cindy J Lin, the CEO & cofounder of Hey Social Good, a social impact data company working to revolutionize social good data for people, planet, and profit. 

Hugh Saetia, a student who founded Eternal Canvas Foundation, a nonprofit that gives grieving families a hand painted portrait of the person they lost, created and given at no cost.

Christen Sproule, an accomplished criminal and regulatory litigator who shapes litigation strategy and tackles novel regulatory issues to protect investors and safeguard the integrity of the capital markets.

Anita Sengupta, an aerospace engineer, commercial pilot, entrepreneur, and veteran of the U.S. space program who has developed technologies that have enabled exploration of Mars, asteroids, and deep space.
