Solidarity Sunday @ MBCC

Manhattan Beach Community Church stands in solidarity against violence, hate, and harassment directed against LGBTQ+ neighbors. All are welcome!

Amid a rising tide of anti-transgender discrimination, hate, and violence, Manhattan Beach Community Church will stand in solidarity with the lesbian, gay, transgender, queer, and gender-expansive (LGBTQ+) community on Sunday, October 1, 303 South Peck Avenue in Manhattan Beach.

Trans Chorus of Los Angeles Executive Director, Dr. Kathryn Dainty Davis (she/her), will be the featured speaker for the Adult Discussion Group at 8:30 am in the church's Assembly Hall. She will share from her life experience identifying as a girl from earliest childhood and the ups and downs of her journey to live as her authentic self.

The Trans Chorus of Los Angeles will perform during the worship service to follow at 10 am in the sanctuary. Those attending will be invited to make a solidarity pledge to end verbal and physical violence against all people, especially gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.

A coffee hour reception will follow. PFLAG Manhattan Beach/South Bay (that meets monthly at MBCC) will also participate with a resource table.
