King Tide Watch 2024
Once a year, the sun, moon, and earth align just right to create the highest high tide, called a king tide. Join us as we document this phenomenon, and have a discussion on climate change! Meet us at the Manhattan Beach Pier on Jan 12th at 8:30am.

On January 12th, join our community of climate enthusiasts and scientists to document the natural phenomenon known as King Tides. We will be uploading these photos to the California Coastal Commission’s California King Tides Project to document the impact on our local coastline. After capturing photos of the King Tide, please join in the community discussion and discover the relationship between sea level rise and climate change alongside students and other climate community members.
