Amy Ephron and Cathryn Michon at Pages: A Bookstore
Bestselling novelist Amy Ephron will appear in conversation with bestselling author and filmmaker Cathryn Michon at Pages: A Bookstore
Amy Ephron — the eldest of the celebrated Ephron sisters — will be presenting her new novel Unseasonably Cold, a literary mystery set in 1939 New York on the eve of World War II. The book sold over 1,000 copies in its first week, was selected for Zibby Owens' Summer Reading List 2026, and earned a rave in Air Mail, which called it "Wharton and Towles … pure Christie." Kirkus called it "a spare historical thriller about trusting the wrong people. Get it!"
Joining her in conversation is Cathryn Michon, bestselling author of I'm Still Here: A Dog's Purpose Forever and a stand-up comic, actress, screenwriter, director and producer. She wrote for the beloved Amblin/Universal film A Dog's Purpose — one of the most successful live-action dog movies of all time — and is the writer-director of the upcoming Netflix feature A Dog's Perfect Christmas, starring Dennis Quaid, Mary Steenburgen, Milo Ventimiglia and Jennifer Tilly. Cathryn will be signing her books at the event as well.
Two bestselling authors in conversation makes for a lively, one-of-a-kind evening — and a wonderful night out for South Bay book lovers.
