The Roundhouse Aquarium invites the community to learn more about the rehabilitation and recovery journey of Southern California’s rescued seals and sea lions during Hope on the Horizon: Protecting Marine Mammals in a Changing World – a free, all-ages presentation at the Manhattan Beach Library. During the event, Dave Bader, chief operations & education officer at Marine Mammal Care Center, will share the behind-the-scenes work involved in rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing seals and sea lions back into their wild habitats. The presentation aims to give the community a meaningful opportunity to better understand ocean conservation and how caring for individual animals connects to the overall health and protection of California’s marine life. For the South Bay community, ocean lovers, and anyone interested in marine life, the event offers the chance to learn more about the seals and sea lions living in the ocean and the efforts being made to protect them.
