Reese Alexiades went 2-4 and hit a home run, helping Manhattan Beach Senior All Stars to a 5-2 victory over Northern California on Sunday at Ontario Fields of Dreams.

He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth.

Northern California's lineup had no answer for Jake Symon. Symon held Northern California hitless over 1-2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Four relief pitchers finished off the game for Manhattan Beach. Alexiades faced four batters in relief, while Matt Bessera managed to record three outs to aid the victory.

Northern California jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second.

The MB boys never surrendered the lead after the fourth inning, scoring three runs on two singles.

The boys play tonight at 6 p.m. in single-elimination competition that could take them to the Little League World Series.
