Manhattan Beach residents can place their Christmas trees curbside on their regular waste collection day for a free pickup, according to the city website.

Waste Management, the city's contracted waste hauler, will recycle trees through Saturday, Jan. 17. Simply put your Christmas tree next to your carts by 7 a.m. on your normal trash collection day. Flocked trees will be collected but cannot be recycled.

Trees must be less than 7-feet long or cut into 7-foot sections. Before placing your tree curbside, remove lights, decorations, tinsel, ornaments and metal stands.
