Hill Section Art Walk to Feature Local Artists

Oct 07, 2015 10:45AM ● By Jeanne Fratello
Manhattan Beach is a city that loves and appreciates art, and is also home to many successful and prolific artists. On Sunday, October 11, eight of those artists will have a chance to display their work, as they open up their Hill Section home studios for a free local community art walk.

Featured artists include illustrator Einav Aviram, sculptor Cinthia Joyce, landscape artist Kathleen Keifer, ceramic artist Frank Matranga, painter Marjorie Rand, photographer Jesse Padveen, portrait artist and sculptor Barbra Simpson, and watercolorist Pat Woolley.

Randy Stager, publisher of the monthly Hill Section Life magazine, organized the show. "We have featured eight talented and successful artists in the Hill Section over the past 18 to 20 months, and we wanted to share their artwork within the Hill Section community," said Stager.

If you are a Manhattan Beach resident and are interested in attending, please email Stager at [email protected] to RSVP and he will give you the address of the starting house.

The tour will take place from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Maps to all of the homes will be available at each location. Refreshments will be served.

Hill Section Life has taken an active role in organizing local neighborhood events, such as a poetry reading and now this art walk. The art walk is being sponsored by Hill Section Life and JWM CPA & Company.
