Mira Costa Theater, Tech Groups Take Top Honors

They're #1! For the fourth year in a row, Mira Costa High School's Drama Department
has won Best Musical Theater performance at the Fullerton College High School Theatre Festival. Mira Costa also came out on top in the Theater Games (improvisation) category; and two different Mira Costa technical theater teams took first and second place in the Tech Olympics.
More than 50 Southern California high schools participated in the two-day competition held in Fullerton earlier this month.
In the musical theater category, Costa Drama performed a five minute scene from “The Addams Family”, their upcoming spring musical. “The Addams Family” opens April 22. Performances will be held on April 22, 23, and April 27-30.
In the theater tech category, the Mira Costa victory was a first. The Tech teams won a total of 9 medals in categories such as Wiring, Costume Quick Change and Tool Identification.
