Manhattan Beach Median Home Price Hits $3 Million

Dec 04, 2021 11:10AM ● By Mb News Staff
For the first time ever, the median price for Manhattan Beach homes has hit $3 million, according to local real estate blog Manhattan Beach Confidential

The $3 million median was reached in November 2021, according to data that spans the full 12-month period leading up to this landmark moment. Prices are up 15 percent since last November.

The Manhattan Beach median home price has been headed upward for much of the past year. The median home price hit $2.8 million in June and later $2.9 million in July

"Way-back-when, in May 2020, the median price was $2.5 million," said Dave Fratello, author of MB Confidential and broker at Edge Real Estate Agency. "It's all a remarkable bounceback after pandemic shutdowns hit the market hard in Spring 2020."

For that matter, Fratello added, even though November is supposed to be slow, in the second half of November 2021, there were more new purchase contracts inked than in any comparable period going back to at least 2013.
