It's a rare weekend of two celebrations - Valentine's Day and Super Bowl Weekend. And with a heat wave bringing everyone outdoors, it's a great weekend to spend in Manhattan Beach.

Here's a glimpse of the weekend schedule:
Saturday, February 12
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.: Show Your Love for Manhattan Beach Schools: There will be two "super signing" opportunities to sign a petition to put a parcel tax to support Manhattan Beach schools on the June 7 ballot. Find the petitions at Metlox and throughout Downtown Manhattan Beach from 9-3, or at the Kinecta parking lot from 9-12.
10:00 a.m. - Noon: Show Your Love for Pets, Vets, and those in Need: The Neptunian Woman's Club has a donation drop-off opportunity for items needed to help the SPCLA, Bob Hope USO, and Project Needs.
11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.: Valentine's Day Pop-Up: Join Manhattan Village for the first Pop Up event in 2022.
The event includes pop-up vendors, live music from Adam Lasher, themed workshops, raffle prizes, photo ops, and more. RSVP here to be entered to win prizes.
6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.: Live Music and Wine and mbWineco: Hear country crooner Jack Brand and drink your favorite wine at mbWINEco.
10:00 p.m.: ShredUrEx: Join Esperanza Manhattan Beach for a pre-Valentine's Day "ShredUrEx"
event. Bring a picture of your ex to shred at the bar, and be entered to
win a gift card for a $250 dinner for two.
Drink specials include Margarita de la Casa ($11.50) or Espolon shots ($10).
Sunday, February 13 - Super Bowl Sunday
All Day at Brewco: All day at Brewco, enjoy brunch, large-screen TVs, and $5 Kershaw's Wicked Curve and George Lopez Brewing Co. beers.
All Day at Rock'N Fish: All day at Rock'n Fish, enjoy large-screen TVs and menu specials including $5 Kershaw's Wicked Curve, Cowherd's The Herd, and George Lopez Brewing Co. beers. Also treat yourself to $5 off oak-grilled artichoke or popcorn shrimp appetizers.
11:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Tin Roof Bistro: Pick up your Super Bowl Party To-Go appetizers from Tin Roof Bistro (must pre-order here.) Choose from pork sliders, firecracker wings, Indian-spiced with flatbread, or pigs in a blanket.
3:00 p.m. at StrandBar: Starting at 3:00 p.m. at StrandBar (at The Strand House), enjoy a Super Bowl watch party with large-screen TVs, lounge seating, bottle service, and VIP tables available.
3:30 p.m. at Baja Sharkeez: Baja Sharkeez Manhattan Beach is offering a $39.99 open bar during its Super Bowl party, from 3:30 until the end of the third quarter. Buy tickets in advance at Eventbrite.
Monday, February 14 - Valentine's Day
11:30 a.m. Valentine's Day Golf Cart Cruise: Decorate your golf cart, meet up at Vons Manhattan Beach, and drive around town to the different elementary schools as part of a mini Valentine's Day parade with the Golf Cart Crew.
Lunch and dinner: There are delicious dinners happening all over Manhattan Beach - and reservations are still available.
