Celebrate Easter and Passover in Manhattan Beach

It's time to enjoy Easter brunch, Easter egg hunts, and Passover in Manhattan Beach. (Anyone up for a doggy Easter egg hunt? Read on):

Easter Brunch

Note: All brunches listed below will be held on Sunday, April 9.

(Easter Brunch at BOA Steakhouse)

BOA Steakhouse is offering an Easter brunch surf & turf buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The buffet will feature brunch classics such as pastries, sausage and eggs, along with a seafood bar, turf carving station, and signature BOA items such as sous vide bacon steak au poivre, sliced smoked salmon, lobster avocado toast, BOA Caesar salad station, carved honey baked ham, whole roasted New York strip, sous vide buttermilk fried chicken, and more. The dessert station will offer layered Nutella mousse, s’mores terrines, layered cheesecake trifle, cookies, and macarons. Pricing is $95 per person and $50 for children, not including beverages. Fishbar is serving Easter brunch specials all day, starting at 10:00 a.m. Featured dishes include the seared ahi platter, lobster hash, lemon ricotta pancakes, crispy halibut tacos, or coconut curry halibut. Jute Coastal Bar & Kitchen at Westdrift Hotel is hosting an a la carte Easter brunch, along with cookie decorating, family-friendly activities, and an egg hunt (see below). Reserve a spot here.

Le Pain Quotidien is opening at 6:30 a.m. for all of you early birds. Get a head start on Easter morning with breakfast and brunch dishes, omelettes, salads, quiche, yogurt, and hot beverages.

Pancho's Manhattan Beach is offering brunch from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with an exclusive brunch menu, complimentary Champagne, and fresh fruit and bunuelos. Call 310-545-5670 for reservations.

Rock'n Fish has Easter brunch specials including andouille sausage Benedict, or a yogurt parfait bowl; as well as guava or peach mimosas, starting at 10:00 a.m. Make your reservations here.

Second Story at the Belamar Hotel is hosting an Easter brunch from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A 10-course experience of morning classics features culinary-driven bites, bottomless beverages, and kid-friendly brunch favorites. Hop in from 10:00 a.m. to noon for some extra family fun featuring an Easter-inspired balloon artist and face painter. Sunday The cost is $40 per person + $15 for bottomless alcoholic beverages (mimosas, Irish coffees, and Bloody Marys); $25 for kids 12 and under. An a la carte brunch menu will also be available. Slay Steak & Fish House and Slay Italian Kitchen are both offering an Easter brunch from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The menu will include brunch specials as well as brunch cocktails (the regular menu will also be available). The Arthur J will serve an "epic" three-course Easter brunch between 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The brunch includes multiple choices for first course, entree, and dessert, plus three specialty cocktails to choose from. The cost is $95 per person. Reserve your spot here.

Zinc @ Shade Hotel will host an Easter buffet from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Enjoy a festive buffet filled with food, special activities for little ones, and drink specials for the adults. The cost is $95 per adult and $35 (children ages 10 and under). Reserve online here or call 310-469-3466.

Easter Egg Hunts


 

Manhattan Village Mall is hosting an Easter "Eggstravaganza" on Saturday, April 8, from noon to 2:00 p.m. The event will feature face painting, puppet shows, musical shows, an Easter craft, raffles, a photo booth and an Easter egg hunt (grouped by age). More information here.

Manhattan Beach Community Church will host an Easter egg hunt for children on Sunday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m. following its 10:00 a.m. Easter service.

South Hills Church is hosting a "doggy" Easter egg hunt on after its 10:00 a.m. service, and a children's Easter egg hunt after its 11:30 a.m. service., both on Sunday, April 9.

Trinity Lutheran Church will host an Easter egg hunt and an Easter brunch at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 9, following its 10:00 a.m. Easter service.

Westdrift Hotel is hosting Easter Egg hunts at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., along with cookie decorating and other family-friendly activities.

Passover Events


 

Congregation Tikvat Jacob in Manhattan Beach will hold Passover services at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 6; Friday, April 7; Wednesday, April 12; and Thursday, April 13.

The Manhattan Torah Center is offering Shemura Matzah (the ingredients of which - flour and water - are "watched" from the moment of harvesting and drawing). Pre-order is required; pickup is available through Wednesday, April 5. Also available at the store are Kiddush cups, Haggadahs, Seder plates, children's Passover toys and games, and more.
