Eleven Mira Costa Swimmers Named All-Americans

This year's Mira Costa swim team - coming off one of the winningest seasons in school history - had a record 11 swimmers named All-Americans for 2024-2025 by the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association. 

To earn the designation, a swimmer must have posted one of the fastest 100 times in the U.S. during the high school season. All told, Mira Costa swimmers received the honor for five relays and 13 individual events. All-American swimmers included: 

Anderson Bennett:
100 Breast - 36th

Bella Brito: 
100 Breast - 5th
200 Free - 8th
500 Free - 47th
100 Free - 72nd
50 Free - 91st

Fred Brown: 
50 Free - 88th

Delaney Herr:
100 Back - 4th
50 Free - 15th
100 Fly - 24th
100 Free - 89th

Peyton Kuo: 
100 Free - 90th

Andi Taylor: 
50 Free - 84th

Girls 200 Free Relay (Bella Brito, Delaney Herr, Maya Manasfi, Andi Taylor) - 94th

Girls 400 Free Relay (Bella Brito, Delaney Herr, Heather O'Brien, Andi Taylor) - 11th

Girls 200 Medley Relay (Bella Brito, Delaney Herr, Maya Manasfi, Andi Taylor) - 6th

Boys 200 Medley Relay (Fred Brown, Jack Krikorian, Peyton Kuo,  Logan Kwon) - 55th

Boys 200 Free Relay (Fred Brown, Peyton Kuo, Logan Kwon, Christian Pherson) - 27th

The titles follow a record-breaking year for state and national titles and awards for Mira Costa students in academics, athletics, and the arts.
