On Saturday, August 1, rescue dogs with unknown birthdays will finally have a day to call their own, thanks to a special DOGust adoption event hosted by JustFoodForDogs at their Manhattan Beach store.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. , the fresh pet food company is teaming up with local rescue group Pug Nation to help South Bay shelter dogs find their forever homes. The event invites community members to meet adoptable pups, connect with rescue experts, and celebrate the resilience of dogs who have been given a second chance.

For the dogs in attendance, DOGust serves as a universal birthday. The annual tradition since 2008 ensures every rescued dog, regardless of their past, gets a day of celebration. For JustFoodForDogs, the event is about much more than cake and toys; it's about increasing visibility for shelter dogs and breaking down barriers to adoption.
